The Services We Offer

We provide a complete range of services covering everything from a free initial consultation through to a completed build. We tailor our offer depending on the project and a client’s requirements but typical we follow these stages:

1. Architectural Design

Our homes are personal to us and no two projects are ever the same. We spend time getting to know each of our clients and their homes. Discussing their family, lifestyle and work, along with any issues the current house presents and expectations they have for the project. This process helps us to define a clear brief and then working with the client we design practical solutions that answer the brief but also meet their budget.

2. Planning Permission

If you want to make significant changes to your home the chances are you’ll need planning permission from your local council in one form or another. Recent changes to permitted development rights can make this process easier but they don’t apply to everyone, particularly if your house has previously been extended. We can advise on what is likely to be considered acceptable by your local council and then guide you though the correct planning processes and timescales.

3. Structural Engineering

We offer a full structural engineer’s package to sit along side our design service. This is a very important stage as it informs how the proposed design will be constructed and integrated with the existing property. These drawings and calculation documents are also a requirement of Building Control, another process we can guide you through.

4. Project Management

Building work can be very stressful so choosing the right people to deliver your project is paramount. Our experienced team will guide you through the hundreds of decisions so your project runs smoothly and to budget. As well as organising all tradesmen and materials, well also make sure work is done to current standards and signed off correctly with Building Control.

5. Building Services

We aren’t big enough to build everything we design and gain planning permission for. Those projects we do build are delivered through our chosen partners, relationships set up specifically to meet the demand for high quality and fair priced work. We are fully insured, all our work is guaranteed and we have many happy past clients who will give you honest feedback.

Our chalet bungalow offers a spacious open-plan living area, in great need of a cosmetic uplift. We gained invaluable advice from David, who, on-site recommended we increase the width of a square opening to improve light ingress to a dark corner. He further recommended we relocate an internal wall to improve the aspect ratio of our living area, as well as converting a single bedroom into a double. His company provided accurate CAD diagrams of the entire property as well as comprehensive stress calculations for the work intended. His fees were also very reasonably priced. We highly recommend.

Excellent service from David and his highly knowledgable team. Our planning application was submitted efficiently and we felt fully supported throughout the process. The build didn’t start until around 18 months after the application, at which point David very kindly had a lengthy phone call with me, to answer additional questions. David has also kindly referred various other parties (builders, party wall specialists etc) with no obligation to use them, but it’s always helpful to have trusted recommendations.
